Why Do We Need Bio-Reactions?

Decent Essays
Being aware of what is going on in your mind and body is important. Bio-reactions are automatic responses to perceived threats that take away our ability to make choices. unfortunately, they cause us to react impulsively, often overestimating the threat. When our body goes into a bio-reaction our blood moves away from the brain. The blood rushes to other areas of our body to keep us safe. When this happens it limits our ability to have deep thoughts and make conscious decisions.

We need to slow down, think, ask questions; regain control. Once we become aware, them we regain the ability to make choices, make better decisions, and think rationally.

During fearful events, we tend to find ourselves in situations which require quick thinking. We have to decide what to do at a moment's notice. Fight or Flight. However, when you only have one moment to make a decision, it can lead to rash actions. We don’t have the time to deeply analyze the circumstances around us, because of the little time we are given, so we have to make a critical decision with only surface level information, which we gather from the appearances, the words, and the actions of the people involved in the situation.…

The chromaffin cell plays a great role in the ‘fight or flight’ response. The surge of adrenaline produced under conditions of stress or fear prepares the body for peak physical response. Adrenaline enters the bloodstream at up to 300 times its normal concentration interacting with various receptors on organs. Increased heart rate, blood pressure and initiation of release of glucose prepares the body for muscular activity. These responses are enabled by the release of adrenaline from chromaffin cells.…

To understand how homeostatic mechanism regulates the human body’s temperature, we must know and understand the organization of the human body and how it relates to homeostasis mechanism adapting to various conditions. It will be explained how the stimulus, receptors, integrator, effector, and the different tissues types play a role in how the human body responds to change in temperature. The human body is complex and consists of several levels of organization. The levels of organization within the human body are the chemical, cellular, tissue, and system level, which is the highest level in our body. Homeostasis is retained by a series of control mechanisms and some functioning within the organ or tissue level.…

Europe is consistently witnessing the birth of populist parties claiming to speak for “the people” treating their rights as an impediment to their conception of the majority will, a needless obstacle to defending the nation from perceived threats and evils, (said Kenneth Roth). Although all these movements were born as a consequence of a period of political instability a question arises: Is Populism an hazard that risks to put the people and their human rights in jeopardy? or is It the most rational choice to undertake when the current political system is struggling ?…

I believe that the most critical cell of the eukaryotic organelle would be that of the ribosome, for it is this cell that uses genetic instructions transported in ribonucleic acid (RNA) to line a specific sequence or amino acids into chains to form proteins. I also think Lysosomes is important because it helps break down food and get rid of waste things that don’t belong in your system. Reference Daempfle, P. (2016). The concept of biological determinism is described as being an event that is internally determined to happen as a benefit of being alive and from our biological makeup (Williams & Arrigo, 2012). The biological factors that could “cause” people to act in ways that are beyond their control are intellectual defects or disorders, biochemical and/or hormonal imbalances, blood chemistry disorders, dietary concerns, as well as mineral and vitamin deficiencies (Williams & Arrigo, 2012). Also, psychological determinism is the belief that the choices we make and the actions thereafter are determined to occur as a function of our particular psychological makeup and tendencies, and/or mental health events and processes that may occur beyond the level of…

    A. Bio-reactions I’ve experienced all of the bio-reactions at various times during my life. When I was 15 years old, I got into trouble with some friends. This was a time that I experienced the “freeze” bio-reaction and I stopped interacting with anyone. I have always experienced the “flight” reaction when I encounter clowns and will avoid being near one. Currently, I sometimes experience the “fight” reaction when I think about returning to school.…

Dr. Brown also implies that “vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy and creativity” (Brown, n.d.). The basics of the biological perspective is that it is a scientific view on psychology, which focuses on how our body and our brain; the way we are built, affect our behavior. This approach to psychology states that we are born as the individuals that we are, and that the information encoded into our DNA is what defines us. We can look at the theory of reductionism: every complex concept is a sum of its parts, which implies that every concept can be defined if we break down and look at its parts. In other words, if we take the human body and observe every body part - all the DNA and every little atom; that would give us all knowledge there is to know about homo sapiens, and we could predict all actions of the species. This is connected to the…

Take time to think may not sound like what you need right now but sometimes, and I really should say that often times this is exactly what you need to do to get things going or to change the direction that your life or business has taken. In my life I have noticed that I will push hard and I will be persistent and yet it seemed like nothing was changing, in fact many times things actually got worse. I have also learned that if you do not take time to think, God or the universe will make you take time. For example, have you noticed that some people will get sick at the worst possible time like right before a deadline or in the middle of a crisis? Now, I also know that some of the times that sickness can be induced by stress but even then,…
