Why Do We Lose Hope

We all lose hope and get it back, but it’s not all done in the same ways. In three different stories, there are different ways that the characters get hope back after they lose their hope for their goals, and dreams. Walter Mitty lost hope about keeping his job, George, from Of Mice and Men, lost hope about getting his own farm, the children in Uganda lost hope about having happiness with the war in Uganda. Hopes, dreams and goals, encourage people to set objectives they can achieve and through which they gain success. Good friends help you get hope back and reach your goals and objectives so you gain success. George lost hope in getting the land for the farm. Barry, Scott. 26 Dec. 2011 Psychology Today, “Hope is not just a feel-good emotion, but a dynamic cognitive motivational system.” (Barry). When George had hope, he was motivated to buy the land and have his own farm where he could work without worrying about being canned. With the help of good friends and the pursuit of your goals, you’ll achieve your goals and get a great successful feeling that will push you to set more goals. Good friends push you to achieve more goals/objectives. The children wanted to win the national championship of Uganda.
