There are wolves all over the world. There are even wolves in the desert. But the wolves I’m talking about are located in Yellow Stone National Park in the USA. Yellow Stone is in the state of Wyoming. These wolves can be found on the edge of the park and in the very center of the park. It all depends on where the food is or what the weather is like, say there is lots of snow in the center of the park and less snow on the edge of the park. They would probably live on the edge of the park. Because they like snow: just not in large amounts. That doesn’t mean they don’t like winter, wolves actually would rather it be winter all year around. Even though they shed in the summer the still have thick fur and over heat. These wolves would go as far as dying for one of their own pack members. These animals will be open to sharing all their food with their pack but not to any wolves that don’t belong in their pack. In these packs there is always the alpha male and female and the omega. The alpha male and female are the leader of the group and the ones that produce pups and these two wolves call all the shot like how they hunt who gets to eat first and last and lots more wolf stuff. When wolves eat they can eat over 20 pounds of meat and if it’s a pack of twenty wolves there would be lots of pressure on the alphas to provide the food for their entire pack. The alphas would even kick some members out of the pack even if they don’t want to it just makes it easier because then they have to feed less wolves. Imagine if your kids and you and your husband all ate 20 plus pounds of meat every two days you would be spending over 1300 dollars every two days, that is a ton of money. Now the wolves don’t buy their meat like we do but they do hunt it so if they had a pack of 10 wolves they would only have to kill one animal every three days but if they had twenty plus that would mean killing two or even three animals a day. That’s a lot of work for the wolves to do so the drop members of their
