Women majoring in engineering are labeled by society this is where stereotypes and misconceptions come in place, the truth about women are not understood by others. Stereotypes and misconceptions played a huge role in society because humans view groups in a different perspective than who people actually are. Stereotypes are based on truth but, with an exaggeration when describing a group of people, cognition and or believes. On the other hand, misconception is different from stereotypes because misconception is a view based on untruth descriptions about that group or even an assumption just because human are a part of a certain group. When it comes to stereotypes and misconceptions both are not exactly the same however, they are not the same as being pregitis. Prejudices include the fact of a person's opinion on attitude or someone's actual experiences. Society tends to have stereotypes and misconceptions to describe various of groups such as in schools, work, or even on a career because a person's belief on a mental picture is different to others observation. With this being said others do not reveal the actual point in a certain group just because the description of them was from awhile back and never got changed after all. The right thing to do is to better understand various groups before ever mentioning who or what people are because it will make sense to other who are labeling others in a different perspective. If someone is stereotyping another group it does not exactly mean that people are prejudiced or discrimination that particular group. Discrimination is the treatment of a category of people or thing manly on race, age, or gender. Women are seen to be ten times worse in getting things done to pursue the career in engineer. Being a woman can be impossible to pursue the career in engineer because the power of superman is not within them however, in men it is seen for them to pursue the career because gentlemen have the strong power. Having the power as superman can make thing more likely for a woman to pursue her ultimate career for the future. Impacting and making assumptions upon a woman that want to simply pursue her career can make it hard for her because thing are being said that are interfering with the goals. Goals are not given to someone, the dedication and hard work are marked by someone personally, no one will make it happen unless a person takes responsibility to make it happen. Hard work and dignity should be better understood in society when it comes to identify a woman that wants to make a difference. Hard working women do exist when it comes to making a change in an extensive career such as engineering since women actually put the mentality that is needed when obtaining the career. Society should identify this woman hard working and the dignity but, people see females as a weak person with no capability to obtain a career like men
