Video Games Playing games on your mind..? Part 1: Many parents don’t like that there kid plays video games. Have you ever wondered why they don’t like them? I have always wondered why my parents never liked me playing them. What is it about video game that make parents hate it so much?
Research Question: Why are video games bad for young children?
Knowledge on the topic: I know a lot about video games. There are a lot of games out there that I love to play such as Madden, NBA 2k etc. There are a lot of games that I couldn’t play when I was a younger age such as Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty were the big ones. I didn’t really understand why I couldn’t play them when I was younger. Today I see why my parents didn’t let me play

I learned that in fact that video games are bad for children. Video games cause children to act completely different. Studies show that after a kid is done playing rated M games he acts more aggressively. The kid has a higher chance of getting into fights if he plays games that are rated M. In the video I watched on Youtube I learned that the same effects are the same in boys and girls it’s only more common in boys because boys play more video games then girls do. When I was looking at graphs for my genre I seen how high the percentage of kids who have rated M games. That means parent are buying their kids these games when they know they shouldn’t be. If parents don’t want their kids playing these types of games then they shouldn’t be buying or even allowing their kids to play games like GTA or COD. I also founded that playing M rated games can have a long term effect on kids when they grow up. Studies show kids that played M rated games as a younger child had more aggression when they were older. While I was reading some blog I learned that a lot of kids who play video games such as GTA (grand theft auto) they were bullies in school and treated their siblings horrible.
