Why Do Vape Companies Need To Stop Smoking Cigarette Companies?

The number of high school students that vape has increased by 900% from 2011 to 2015. A vape is an electronic cigarette that is a handheld electronic device that simulates the feeling of smoking tobacco. So many students all over the world are vaping because it is supposed to be a healthy alternative to smoking cigarettes, but they aren’t aware of the chemicals that it actually contains. Vaping should be advertised differently by the companies because it is not healthy, it attracts underage kids, and the long term effects are unknown.
Vape companies need to advertise differently to stop giving the impression that it is healthy for you. It is not healthy, it contains many chemicals that teens and adults are unaware of. Some of the chemicals that it contains are nickel, zinc, lead, and chromium. I’m sure if most kids knew what they were actually putting in their lungs, a lot less of them would actually vape.
The problem is, companies don’t make this clear. They just focus on the fact that it’s cleaner and healthier than smoking.

Back when cigarette companies started advertising their products in a positive way, almost everyone smoked because the harmful chemicals and the effects were not yet discovered. After they found out is causes cancer and many other things, they started putting warnings on the packages and stopped advertising them.
