Why Do Tornadoes Occur

Tornadoes can occur really anywhere if the climate is right. The most common place for a tornado to occur is central United States. This place is known by two other names, The Great Plains and Tornado Ally. Tornado Ally is a big strip of land located between Texas and North Dakota. This place is nick named tornado ally because more then 500 tornadoes occur in Tornado Ally every year. Other then Tornado Ally the United States in general still has a very large amount of tornadoes. About 1000 tornadoes hit the US every year. The US is a very good place for a tornado to occur because of the ingredients that a tornado needs is very simply supplied in the US. The US topography allows huge thunderstorms space, energy and time to create a tornado.
