They will need a backup job if they didn’t get the athletic job they aimed for which only about 1.6% of them actually get the job. If they weren’t focusing in school they might not be able to get the jobs that could help them succeed in life. Getting a good job will help you when you are an adult, working at a convenience store won’t help you gain as much money as you would if you got a job such as a judge.If you have a strong GPA you could get into a better college to get a better job like a lawyer or a doctor. This rule would help students more then hurt them. If they want a better job and a nice home they need to work for the things they want.
Grades vs. Sports
Some people say that sports and grades shouldn’t connect. They think that sports are a great form of physical activity and students shouldn’t be punished for their grades. People will get good skills in sports such as teamwork, fast thinking and other skills. Sports and Grades don’t connect in many ways because you don’t use math to play football, however if students didn’t get a good grade and got kicked off the team, they would be motivated to get their grades up to play.
