The use of Warriors, Indians, and Braves as a team mascot is not racist. Many schools and professional teams use these as their mascots. 81% of Native Americans do not believe teams should discontinue the use of these mascots in college and high school teams. 83% believe it is okay to use Native American mascots in pro-level teams. Many state that it is disrespectful to Indian culture. However, Indians, Braves, and Warriors are not used in a derogatory manner: schools choose Native American mascots because they view them as strong and brave individuals. Chief Lee Vest stated that "the use of Indians, warriors, and braves is an honor". In addition, Lib Dudney, the president of Dobyna-Bennett High School's education foundation stated that, "you
