Why Do School Uniforms Creates Individuality

Some people think that school uniforms takes away from a student’s individuality but I would have to say that wearing school uniforms creates uniformity instead. Do they take away from the student’s individuality, of course they don’t. There are many reasons that school uniforms would be a good thing for students in all schools. If everyone is dressed the same way, then everyone could be considered equals in class instead of forming groups of students, such as “preps”, “jocks”, “goth”, or “nerds”. Students would not feel the pressure of having to fit in to any of those groups in order to make friends. Another reason that school uniforms would be great in all schools is that it would reduce the cost of money that parents spend on school uniforms …show more content…
One issue with school uniforms is that different school districts have different brands of uniforms and it’s hard to buy them. That’s simply not true. You can order these school uniforms online and have them shipped to your house or you can go to the store that carries these brands and shop there. If parents shop early, they can also save money on the school uniforms just like they save when shopping for regular clothes on those back to school sales. There are stores that carry different brands of school uniforms so there is no need to run all over town from one store to another to make these purchases. Stores like Kmart are carrying different brands of school uniforms where you can find what you need. They also offer layaway so that parents who struggle financially are able to use their layaway program with easy, affordable payments. Wearing school uniforms makes the students take pride in their school and they often perform better academically because they have more school spirit.
