Marijuana There are many good reasons why people try or do take marijuana, but there are side effects from taking marijuana. There are two different types of marijuana. You have either medical or recreational. Medical marijuana uses the whole plant or its basic extracts. The medical marijuana is used to treat diseases and symptoms of an individual. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had not approved marijuana to be medicine. There are two chemicals in the marijuana called cannabinoids that FDA has approved for medical. Marijuana has two main cannabinoids, they are THC and CBD. THC increases appetite and reduces nausea. THC could reduce swelling, muscle ache, and may decrease pain. CBD reduces pain, inflammation, seizures,
