Why do people text and drive when they know that their putting their own lives at risk? Maybe because texting has become so popular in today’s society and it’s everyone’s best way of communicating. Receiving and sending texts at the push of one button in seconds is the “greatest thing” that’s happened in today’s world. It isn’t so great when dealing with driving however. People may think there capable of texting and driving and are great at multitasking.However, no one can ever be “good” at texting and driving, and no one will ever be a good multi taster in dealing with driving and doing anything for that matter. In other words, people whom text and drive can lead themselves to very serious consequences.

Ever think your not going to be the one to ever run a stop sign or a red light from texting and driving? Think again, because it could be you the next time. I can relate to this specific topic in my own personal experience. A few months ago I was coming up to at a red light behind about five cars and as I was sending my text message I didn’t stop soon enough and rammed the car right in front of me. Not paying attention for that half a second caused me in an accident and it was definably not worth it. Thankfully it wasn’t a bad accident but if it were maybe five seconds later it could have caused in a more fatal accident if It was in the middle of an intersection. In further news when running a red light you can kill somebody weather they are crossing the street on a bike, feet, or if it’s another car coming the opposite direction. Causing someone fatal issues, hospitalized, and even death. For what? Something that isn’t nearly as important as you
