Why Do People Respect Police Officers

Has anyone ever noticed that people are showing less and less respect for the police officers? Has anyone seen all the killings of police officers on the news? If anyone showed them respect and followed the law, there would be less crime in the streets and everyone’s lives would be easier. There have been so many police killings in the past couple of years. It all started when a police officer killed a black man. People think that police have it out for people with colored skin. That all police are racist, but they are not. They are just doing their job. They respect everyone that they meet. People will get a hold of recordings and cut and paste stuff to “frame” the police. There are too many people that do not listen to police, people are making their lives harder than it already is, not all of the police officers out in the world are bad, police officers risk their lives for people that do not respect them, and if someone wants to become a police officer go for it. Do not let anyone stop people from doing what they want to do. This all matters, to me any way, because I personally know second handedly what it’s like. My father is a police officer. He has been on the task force for at least 6 years. He goes through all of this stuff every day. There are a lot of people that do not like to respect anyone that is on the task force. Everyone should care about the police. I know that there are a handful of police that are disrespectful towards people, especially people of color, but people have to be the bigger person and respect them no matter what. If people show police officers respect, they will show everyone some respect as well. All in all just show people respect and do not make their lives harder just because people never know what goes on in their own lives.
