Why do people perform the same task only one way over and over again? Is everyone so scare or stubborn to try something new? People have been completing the same task day in and out for years. They have been programmed to execute this one task like a take-off checklist. No variation, no modification, they would not even think about changing. If someone new joins a team that has been together for years and speaks up, say isn’t there a better or easier way to do this. Everyone on the team would jump down his or her throat. We have been doing this for years and you have been here five seconds and think that you know better. Well, this is the mindset of employees everywhere. This is the problem that companies have everywhere.

Some of the interviews demanded full fraud separation interviews; others were not as difficult such as waivers. Some were just a waste of time because documents were missing or other issues that wasted time and resources. Since I had to manage the entire I-751 program alone for an unknown amount of time, I had to find a more efficient way to perform the same as a five-man team had before. I set up categories for each file by quickly performing security queries such as Accurint/TECS/NLET prior to the interview. With reviewing the cases first from the Service Center before that case was scheduled for interview, would result in more interviews than if the files were not viewed at all. With these quick reviews, some files did not need interviews at all or needed put to the side until all files were available as if we needed the parent’s file. I also inherited each officer previous cases that moved to other locations, never to return. These files need attention
