Interest groups are organizations who share their common interest with the people they work with and to try to get their point across to the government about the issues they believe would be beneficial to the public. Interest groups vary in great detail in quantity, points, and strategies. Interest groups are important for US citizens by that we could us our voices by getting our ideas, needs and views known to elected officials. Many people criticize interest groups because they think that a lot of our problems are caused by them.
