Why Do People Become Groups?

In some certain scenarios there is always a winner and there is always a loser. If there was someone higher than everyone in the whole world looking at us, he or she can spot the losers in the blink of an eye. But even if that were true, then everyone would be a loser, because even if you're a winner then the people surrounding you would think you aren't one. Everyone in life is judged in a different form, and there is always that saying that everyone is reminded of, but nobody follows it. "Never judge a book by it's cover", is how we know we can trust someone or not. There are those that are popular and there are those that our simply NOT. But the question in life, that someone should always ask is WHY? Why is everyone separated into groups? Why are there people who look down on others?
