Argument Against Feminism

Why do many feminist speak so negatively about people who do not identify as a feminist, especially women? Over the amount of time I have spent on the internet over the years has been, what some would say is too much time. However it is not entirely a waste of time, I have noticed that the feminist community has shown a significant amount of hate towards anyone who doesn’t follow their ideas. Whether they disagree with some of their ideas, call themselves something else like an equalist, or they just don’t care or know about what is going on. Many of the people in the online feminist community seem to absolutely hate anyone who is not a part of their cause. In order to answer this I did a lot amount of research on the leaders of the feminist …show more content…
During one of the events being held a woman in the audience had asked the speakers “What are your thoughts on women against feminism?” one of the speakers had answered, almost interrupting the woman, replied with “they need to die.” The response from the audience was laughter and applause. That makes it seem like they have no tolerance for anyone with a different opinion than theirs. “Well they are fighting for equal rights, so why would you be against that?” I hear you asking that question already, so let me explain what both sides want and what they fight for. Feminism is the fight for women 's rights on the grounds of political, social, economic grounds. The anti-feminist community is mostly consisting of equalist or humanist, which is the belief that all human beings, regardless of gender, race, age, ethnic origin, or any other factor that defines our individual differences, are totally equal. So why are they at odds you may ask? Well the anti-feminist believe that they aren’t fighting for what they say that they do and instead are asking for privileges not for equal rights. This is where the disagreements start, the feminist think that the people against them are all just sexist. They have no tolerance for opposition so they …show more content…
The percentage of women in the schools is a good example of this. The number of men is significantly less than that of women, around 20% less, with men at 40% and women at 60%(2). Now if that were not influenced by some form of bias that that number would at least be within a few percent of 50/50.There is a public speaker , named Milo Yiannopoulos, who often goes to universities both in the United States and Europe but when he goes to the collages he gets protested and even has his promotional posters torn down(3). The universities respond with appeasement or ignoring the problem. This is not the only example though, the universities also allow this to happen to their own staff. The Oxford Professor Fiamengo was attempting to give a speech for the anti-feminist community, and was practically forced off stage by the mass of people yelling and screaming in order to block out what she was saying(4). That’s not all however, during a meeting involving men 's issues a large group of protesters blocked the entrance and proceeded to verbally assault the security guards for “protecting misogynistic speeches.” The meeting was involving issues such as male suicide rates and male rape rates, when you include prison that rate is higher than women 's(5). This is what makes people question if feminism is really about equality, they tend to ask “what are you fighting for, don’t women already have

Rather than calling them “witches” like the girls did in Salem, the patriarchy seeks to degrade women’s rights activists by giving them demeaning labels. Resulting from this derogative name-calling is a negative stigma associated with feminism. Men represent the feminist as a caricature figure for all to see: a fat, bitter lesbian who refuses to shave her armpits. It is no surprise, then, that out of a sense of self-preservation, many women publicly reject feminist ideology. Name-calling is a surprisingly effective technique for males to exercise control over females.…

Feminism is, without a doubt, one of the most misunderstood social justice movements in modernity. There are a number of people, contemporary and otherwise, who refuse to even call themselves feminists due to the negative connotation the word has acquired – images of bras being burned, discussions of mandatory castration, militant pursuit of misogynist men in both the public and personal sphere – all of these things contribute to a very dark, almost violent image of feminist spaces. And while these people are a part of the movement, they do not speak for other feminists, or the cause itself. The notion that there must be a universal, one-size-fits-all brand of feminism is a chief failing of the movement. Instead of trying to assert a kind of…

    When Men Call Femi-Nazis

Throughout history, women have fought for basic human rights for everyone and equality for all, but somehow, the name of feminism has been made into a more derogatory term that most other modern offensive words. Instead of being labeled a feminist being seen as a good thing in the eyes of women, some have sided with some men on the issue and determined that being labeled a feminist is an insult. While there are many more men and women that now are self-identified feminists, there seems to be more backlash and hatred for what some young men will call “femi-Nazis” because of their “hatred of men” and their intention to “switch the roles and make men the subservient ones” which is clearly not the intentions of the feminists. While the word feminism…

The ideal of feminism has been tainted over the years. Both men and women have criticized feminism; they accused the movement as victimizing men and putting women on a pedestal, some people even accuse the movement as a threat to the family unit. People theorized that if a woman were to work the children would become dysfunctional. Other stereotypes of feminism received from both men and women are; feminist hates men, lesbians, ugly women, angry women, and that only women are feminist. Though we can’t deny that some of these stereotypes could be true it doesn’t apply to all…

Women realised, that there are many factors which confirm that discrimination against female population exists. More specifically; feminists seek equality in wages, equal consideration for position within the military, and respect for their reproductive rights. Opposition to the feminist movement has argued that gender equality has caused harm to the family unit, created confusion among gender roles, and has portrayed abortion in a positive light. I’ve also heard it said that feminists hate men. My personal opinion is that many of these views are in fact bigoted by nature. I further believe that there is no empirical proof to support these arguments.…

Feminist by definition refers to an advocate for social, political, legal and economic rights for women’s, and for those rights to be equal to those of a man (“Feminist.” Dictonary.com). Throughout the years, many people have taken the term “feminist” and turned it into a very negative connotation. When some people think of the word feminist they immediately jump to crazy conclusions such as: lesbian, advocacy, crazy, rude or even unshaven (Messina). With this negative connotation, feminists today are much less respected and often made fun of through the use of social media.…

This is especially true for women are beginning to be a true power in this world, with women becoming CEO’S of companies, and running for major offices. People need to realize that times are changing in the twenty-first century for women and today feminism is required to be successful in job fields like politics where women are taking a stand and becoming more assertive, in the home where single mothers who work are still producing children who help society, and in the workplace, where women still need to make a stand to make the same pay and have gender equality.…

Feminism is cancer, so are social justice warriors and any other kind of people who go out of their way just to make themselves look like victims. If you haven’t realized by the title of this video and by what I have said so far in this video, I am an anti-SJW, an anti-feminist, and an anti-whatever the fuck. In all honesty, social justice warriors are the worst kind of people, so are feminists and all other groups like them. Those kinds of people have logic that is flawed and they are just as bad or even worse than these ‘oppressors’ they constantly whine about. They are batshit crazy and are just as guilty of oppressing their own people than the oppression from "bigots.…
