Why Do Kids Get Cyberbullying?

Did you know that about 42% of kids in a school gets cyberbullied a week? How about 38% of kids getting threatened online? Kids on social media websites, the kids don’t always report about the problems that they have. They would rather lie than tell a trusted adult. The most popular kids who get cyber bullied are the kids who don’t have many friends or don’t play any sports. Even adults get cyber bullied. It isn’t just the kids who get cyber bullied it is almost everyone. About 7% of kids who have gotten cyber bullied have committed suicide, and about 14% have tried to commit suicide. Bully victims are from 2 to 9 times more likely than the non-victims according to Yale University. 10-14 year old girls are more likely to commit suicide from being bullied from studies at Yale University. About 4,400 people commit suicide every year. People who are mostly using fake accounts on social media web sites are either fake and add people to blackmail them. Cyber bullying is hard for people who have been cyber bullied. The number for people being cyber bullied gets bigger and bigger by the second. Teens and kids who have been cyber bullied try to kill themselves by Bleach, Clorox, overdosing, hanging, and jumping off of a bridge. Their are more than at least 100 kids around the whole world who try to kill themselves per day. 1 in 4 kids have been cyber bullied more than once online. 68% of teens agreed that cyber bullying is a serious problem in the world. 78% Think that they would rather get bullied in person rather than online because cyberbullying is harsher. Bullying victims is 2 to 9 times more likely to commit suicide. People who bully are most likely the ones who cyber bully. Girls are twice as likely than boys to be victims of cyberbullying. 90% of kids ignore the cyber bullying when they see it happening, they don’t help the victim
