I believe I deserve to be selected for this scholarship because I am a hard working student on and off the court, committing myself to effectively taking advantage of the opportunity that the scholarship will provide for me. Besides, not only am I a student, I am a student athlete. For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to do something in the field of Criminal Justice. I've always had aspirations, goals and dreams. I've always wanted to make my parents and my family proud. On the negative side, I've always struggled financially. Born to very young parents, we had to make many sacrifices. Although I was given the best life possible, I often sit and wonder what I missed out on.
