The Colonization of Mars Will humans actually colonize Mars? That is question that has been asked for a long time. There have been a lot of ideas from all over the world about sending humans to Mars. New plans from SpaceX and Nasa has opened the eyes of many people. According to Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, SpaceX plans on sending humans to Mars as soon as 2024. Nasa on the other hand is planning on sending humans to Mars by 2030. New businesses like mining, tourist attractions, transportation of goods, and factories. There are a lot of other business and job opportunities that are not even discovered yet.
When America beat the Soviets in the space race our country gleamed with pride. What effect would landing a person on Mars give our society? To start a colonization on Mars would make a bold statement to countries around the world. If we then started working with the other countries, huge impacts to not just America's society, but on the world's society and economy.
