The Colonization of Mars Will humans actually colonize Mars? That is question that has been asked for a long time. There have been a lot of ideas from all over the world about sending humans to Mars. New plans from SpaceX and Nasa has opened the eyes of many people. According to Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, SpaceX plans on sending humans to Mars as soon as 2024. Nasa on the other hand is planning on sending humans to Mars by 2030. Because of the new advancements in space technology, the colonization of Mars is within our grasp and could provide benefits to humans everywhere.

There are so many things that we as humans don’t know. The potential scientific discoveries from Mars could help us build in the future and learn about the past. Mars is older than Earth. That makes geologists be able to learn even more how planets developed. The trip of humans going to Mars can give us more knowledge and experience on long space travel. Not everyone is for colonizing a different planet, let alone a space agency in the first place. The colonization of Mars would create new businesses to help the colony thrive. New businesses like mining, tourist attractions, transportation of goods, and factories. There are a lot of other business and job opportunities that are not even discovered yet.
When America beat the Soviets in the space race our country gleamed with pride. What effect would landing a person on Mars give our society? To start a colonization on Mars would make a bold statement to countries around the world. If we then started working with the other countries, huge impacts to not just America's society, but on the world's society and economy.
With America reaching for the stars, more ideas and dreams will become realities. Kids are starting to strive for better knowledge and understanding. With America accomplishing huge scientific goals it needs people to push new goals. Schools are starting to teach more college level and STEM classes. Students are becoming more and more smarter to make better and better inventions. That will make America smart and ambitious
