Groups survive because of the members! This includes the group leader and all participants in the group. With that said a group must come together and for a bond. Northen states “When groups are not able to develop the cohesiveness that motivates members to remain in the group, the result is that the group disbands, either by decision of the members or simply because members stop coming.” As various personalities make up the memberships of a group there are various challenges from group member roles a group leader may face. The group member role that may be a challenge for me to address (as a group leader) would probably be the member who I have to interrupt.
