As poverty increases in the world, the need for food increases. One solution to this, is genetically modified foods, or GMOs. Genetically modified foods, are foods that have had nutrients added that improve health and give food a longer shelf-life. They also help agriculture products grow in places they wouldn't be able to grow in naturally. Many people believe genetically modified foods are linked to cancer and food allergies, however there is little to no evidence proving this is so.
People often think that genetically modified food causes cancer, but as of right now, there is nothing to prove that it does. In 2013 a study was done on rats who received food with GMOs, and all of these rats died at a young age,
