Decent Essays
G- and PG-rated movies sell more tickets than R-rated movies because R-rated movies always requires you to come with a parent if you're not older than 17. While G-and PG-rated movies is not really specific in how old you have to be. These kinds of movies are usually family movies and they can bring all “four quadrants” as the movie producers call them which includes, young and older men and women. While R-rated movies do not really have a broad audience as they have to be a certain age to watch the movie. The content of the movie is important to sales because that is what determines if you'll make a profit or not. Who would want to go watch a movie and pay for a ticket if they're going to be bored out of their minds, or aren't interested
