It sounds silly, but I found too much information! Although the topic was interesting to research, I bumped into answers to my questions almost immediately. It left me with nothing else to wonder about, to ponder. After a day or two, Mrs. Leung passed me suggestions on how to convert my focus. With this, I was able to develop a better topic, focusing on dog emotions in all, rather than just on the action of wagging a tail. Two people watched the videotaped scenarios and looked for the seven different behaviors that were being tested for in the experiment. The tail up behavior was excluded because it was too hard to separate the positive behavior from the negative behavior. The researchers assumed someone could tell the difference between positive behavior and negative behavior but unfortunately dogs don’t wag their tails in only in the vertical or horizontal direction. Another limitation is dogs may be like people where everyone has distinct ranges of emotions, and not everyone reacts the same to different…

This passion for animals has not only maintained itself as I have grown and gained new experience and knowledge, but it has evolved immensely. When I was eleven, I began training in the sport of dog agility, where a handler and their dog run through a complex obstacle course. Being a young and nimble grade schooler, I quickly adapted to the sport and its challenges. Although my first dog, Dixie, had many training challenges, our abilities to work through them made us successful. My struggles with her training, accompanied by many tears, carefully shaped me into a better trainer and handler both in and out of competition.…

As I look back onto the first project of rhetorical communications, I realized a few things that I will have to adapt to if I want to succeed in college. One such thing is dealing with other peoples’ writing styles as some people in my group had writing styles that seemed very analytical in my opinion. However, my writing style stood out from them as my writing style seemed to be based primarily on emotion rather than articulating facts and opinions. I will admit that I did try my best to not put a lot of emotion into my writing for this assignment, but in my opinion, I have failed in that regard. I think that I have put in some emotion into my writing for this wiki assignment and so, I have developed a new goal for myself.…
