Two people watched the videotaped scenarios and looked for the seven different behaviors that were being tested for in the experiment. The tail up behavior was excluded because it was too hard to separate the positive behavior from the negative behavior. The researchers assumed someone could tell the difference between positive behavior and negative behavior but unfortunately dogs don’t wag their tails in only in the vertical or horizontal direction. The fur industry has been part of American society even before there was a United States of America. The fur trade likely started when Hudson’s Bay Company was incorporated in 1670 (Dyhouse) and has continued to this day. Because of concerns about causing animals to become extinct, furbearing animals have been raised on farms since just after the Civil War (Dyhouse, “Fur Farming in North America”).…

This is seen in one of the old practises they attempt where the dominant dogs mount the weaker dogs. With this, Max becomes the underdog of the pack, he is mounted by the superior dogs until he believes that the superior dogs should be mounted from time to time in order to maintain a balance. As seen, Max becomes too smart to be mounted and begins questioning it, but with this…

Is the use of drug dogs in schools justified? I think that the use of drug dogs is a violation of privacy and it isn’t lawful. Bringing a drug-sniffing dog onto someone's porch is a search (requiring a warrant) because people have a reasonable expectation of privacy in their own homes. The same cannot be said of public schools, where students do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy. When drug dogs are used to search for contraband in schools, police are careful not to open backpacks or inspect students' belongings unless the dog signals that drugs are present.…

Surviving in harsh conditions is rough, but how quickly the mind reacts to its surroundings can change everything. Whether it is a natural disaster, being in a war, or getting captured by an enemy government, the urge to survive skews the mind from what is right, wrong, and what is truly real. Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, A Long Way Gone, by Ishmael Beah, and Night, by Elie Wiesel, all show the changes of the mind and the people around them that push them to survive. These books demonstrate that survival can result in a major change in a human’s behavior in order for them to survive. When surviving, the mind tends to forget the moral character it once had, making it not rationalize as it would before.…
