Why Do Dogs Be Allowed In The Workplace

. This substantial number is increasing rapidly as the benefits of having dogs in the workplace become known. Dogs are beneficial for companies, but they are also beneficial to the employees. Dogs should be allowed in the workplace because they lower stress, increase productivity, and create unity.
One of the benefits of having dogs in the workplace is the reduction of the employee’s stress. Dr. Matia-Finn Stevenson, the director of Yale University’s Mutt-i-grees education program stated, “The level of oxytocin, a special trust hormone, increases when a person pets their dog.” This hormone creates a feeling of trust and cohesion in the work environment. This leads to a prevents less stressful situations. Moreover, having dogs improve relationships between workers, according to the Mutt-i-grees program. A friendly relationship between employees can lead to a stressless work environment. Also, improving the relationships between employers and employees All in all, the introduction of dogs in the work environment decreases conflicts which results in a less stressful environment.

“Dogs are a valued and important part of an employee’s life,” expressed a Google spokesperson in the article “Take Your Dog to Work.” Since employees would have dogs at work, their work efficency would increase because employees will be more willing to cooperate with one another. This will result in the increase of employee productivity.The article “Take Your Dog to Work” stated, “The number of businesses signed to host dogs has grown to 5,000 from a mere 300… back in 1999.” This substantial increase was caused by the realization of the benefits of having dogs in the workplace.
