One of the benefits of having dogs in the workplace is the reduction of the employee’s stress. Dr. Matia-Finn Stevenson, the director of Yale University’s Mutt-i-grees education program stated, “The level of oxytocin, a special trust hormone, increases when a person pets their dog.” This hormone creates a feeling of trust and cohesion in the work environment.
