College Athletes Pay Day According to Sporting News, a report concludes that, “86% of college athletes live in poverty.” If these college kids were getting paid any money at all, that would lower the poverty level a lot because most of the kids in poverty are the stars of their college teams. College athletes should get paid because people are selling their jerseys’ with the college athletes name on the back of it, and the kids are filling up the stadium with all the fans.
