In the article Should Kids Get Paid to do Chores it says, “...if we pay you to do chores, you might decide that taking a week off is worth missing out on the money…”. The chores that needed to be done, like feeding the dog, will not be done if you decide to take a week off. You need to be responsible enough to take charge and do the chores. Parents never take a week or even a day off of work just because they don’t feel like it. So, you shouldn’t if you want to gain trust and responsibility.
