Why Do Children Get Immunizations?

For many years now children immunizations has become a hot topic . Throughout the years parents have began to refuse to give their babies and young children certain vaccines and immunizations. Many parents believe that their babies don’t need their shots for hepatitis. Although it has not yet been proven, many believe immunizations in young children can lead to autism and other developmental disorders. I believe immunizations are important and can save a child’s life. Recommended by the Centers for Disease Control, they say children 0 to 6 should get 29 doses of 9 vaccines not including a yearly flu shot. Although no US federal laws mandate vaccinations, all 50 states require certain vaccinations to attend public school. (n.d.) The United States has the safest vaccine supply in its history. (2017, January 11) The side effect that can possibly come along with immunizations are very rare. When you get immunizations you are not only protecting yourself, you are also protection those around you. A child who receives immunizations can protect those who may have a weakened immune systems, cannot get shots because of a medical condition, they are too young or too old, or are not fully immunized. THere are many ways parents and guardians can protect their children. One of the best ways is immunizations. Children at younger ages can get ill much easier, so it is important for them to have their immunizations up to date. I understand many people worry about vaccines but their are specific national governmental databases that have jobs of making sure there aren't major problems with vaccines.
