Why Do Brandy Veela Commit Suicide

Brandy Vela an 18-year-old teenager, committed suicide on November 29, 2016 in Texas City, Texas. The teenage girl had been bullied for many years for being overweight. On November 29, 2016 Brandy Vela had sent an e-mail and text message to her siblings and parents stating that she planned on committing suicide. Her sister Jacqueline Vela and father Raul Vela immediately rushed home. They made their way up to their dear one’s room and saw her against a wall, pointing a gun at her chest crying. The sister and father were trying to persuade her to put the gun down but she was determined and Mr. Vela states that she told them, “She’d come to far to turn back.” and shot herself, which ended in a fatal death. Moments later the Texas City Police Department arrived at their house and found Brandy Vela with a gunshot wound on her upper chest and determined that the wound was self-inflicted. …show more content…
Andres Arturo Villagomez and his girlfriend Karinthya Sanchez Romero were arrested on multiple counts and both were held on bond. Andres Villagomez was Brandy Vela’s former boyfriend and during their relationship he obtained sexually explicit photos of the teen. After they ended the relationship he shared the photos with his new girlfriend, Karinthya Romero and reportedly used the explicit photos to embarrass and harass Vela on numerous occasions. Authorities confirmed that the couple is specifically accused of creating fraudulent social media accounts in the teens name, posting the graphic pictures, and insisting viewers to contact the teen for “free” sex. Mr. Villagomez was charged with unlawful disclosure of intimate visual material. Ms. Romero was charged with stalking and online impersonation. The investigation is still in progress and it is unknown if anyone else will face charges related to the teens suicide. The teen’s father and sister are thankful that Villagomez and Romero were
