Let me get this straight, performance enhancing drugs are not the answer and should never be the answer. Throughout recent years the olympics have been a prime time for “doping”. Performance enhancing drugs have been used throughout sports for nearly half a century. Athletes should not be allowed to take performance enhancing drugs in the olympics.

It should come as no surprise that performance enhancing drugs like anabolic steroids are being linked to various complications in your neurotransmitters, as well as your circulatory system. When you are a heavy user of performance enhancing drugs you are increasing your risk of blood clots, and major heart and liver damage. There are no sporting events where they give the “ok” with using steroids or PEDs. There is a reason for this and it is a good one. Steroids and illegal unless you are taking them under a doctor's orders. According to The Nation Institute On Drug Abuse it says that the only people that should be taking steroids are people that are recovering from a terrible injury, cancer and severe disease patients, and people who do not produce enough of testosterone on their own. I agree with this statement, and that steroids are a illegal drug and should only be taken when absolutely necessary, and while under the care of a licensed doctor. If PEDs were ever allowed in the Olympics, people would go way overboard with it and set ridiculous inhuman like records that are not meant to be broken.
