Why Do Athletes Get Paid?

Even though their are starving people in America still today, should athletes still get all the money? Athletes worked hard to get where they are, but there are kids all over America who deserve a chance at life, however athletes get way too much money. Athletes do not deserve that much money, the starving children of America need that money. The athletes worked hard to get where they are, but the children in America that are starving deserve that money that gets wasted. When athletes get that much money and fame they can blow all their money away on nonsense, like drugs, alcohol, and clothing lines. Athletes salary is usually millions of dollars, athletes salaries are, too much money, athletes are healthy, the children that are starving all over America are not. The athletes will dissipate that money, that money that could help children in pain, to help starving children, but most of the athletes don’t help and all that money that could help that children goes to drugs, alcohol, and their clothing lines. When the athletes start helping these children, maybe then their salary could be as high as it is now, but right now, most athletes don’t deserve this high salary. The athletes ordinarily only do what they do for the money, they should do this for the love of the game. …show more content…
Some athletes donate money to these children, these athletes are selfless, they could do what other athletes do, waste their money, but these athletes help these helpless children, they give them a chance. The children starving aren’t alone when people help, they know that people care about them when they receive help, and that is probably the best feeling in the world to them. These athletes that donate their money to charities, to the children, are the few that do deserve their enormous salaries.
