Why Do Armed Civilians Get Involved In Shootings

The people tend to say that if an armed civilian was there the shooting wouldn't of have taken place. That would not be the case in many situations, a study shows that armed civilians are more unlikely to stop crimes and instead are more likely to make the situation more deadly. There has been armed civilians in shootings, but they do not tend to get involved in this kind of situations because the police won't know that the person is trying to help and by taking out a weapon you would just become a target. There is just no evidence on people stopping a shooter and not one of the 62 mass shootings that took place in the United States in the last 30 years was stopped by an armed civilian.
