Social class was your ranking in society and many factors played in to your standing. Your race, wealth, education, where you lived and even more points decided your social class. The classes can be loosely defined in to an upper class, middle class, and working class. People in the working class usually performed physical labor and were paid daily or weekly wages. The middle class worked clean jobs. This meant they did not get dirty for example if they were working a job with physical labor. Middle class workers were paid on a monthly or annually basis.
