Why Did You Choose CBU

Why did you choose CBU?
As a senior in high school, I was confused about what I wanted for my future, where I wanted to attend college, and most importantly, where I stood in my relationship with the Lord. I had grown up as a so called ‘christian’ but my family never attended church nor had we ever discussed the Bible. When it was time for me to sit down and go over my options for college, I had no idea what to do. I knew that I wanted to Major in Psychology with a concentrate in Forensics so I began searching for schools that would help me towards that goal. While searching I came across California Baptist University and after reading a description my heart was set. I attended 24@CBU and toured multiple times with different members of my family to get their opinions. I loved the atmosphere that constantly surrounded the campus, but really pulled me towards this was that CBU offered me an opportunity to learn and grow in my relationship with God.
Why do you want to be a University Ambassador?

From that moment I knew I wanted to attend this college in order to better myself on a scholarly and spiritual level. My love for this school was due to the efforts of the university ambassador who gave me and my group the tour. I do not remember her name but she talked so passionately and enthusiastically about the school that I couldn’t help but to share in her emotions. She also discussed her experiences while attending CBU, which in turn made me excited about attending her and making my own story. I want to be a University Ambassador so that I will hopefully inspire the prospective students and help them consider making CBU their college

TCU is great fit for me because it is a smaller university. I like how TCU has less than 9,000 undergraduates and has a 13 to 1 student to faculty ratio. This means students will get more individual attention. The city of Fort Worth seems to be a great college town and TCU has great school spirit, which both work well together to offer a great college experience. TCU is a great fit for me because it has an encouraging learning environment that will allow me to excel in my studies and grow as a…

College in all its forms fascinated me, but schools that brought me closer to the Lord were in a category all to themselves.…

Christian Counselors often use skills from the field of secular psychology and counseling, they recognize that the Bible, not psychology, is the final authority. "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness" (2 Peter 1:3). A Christian counselor's major strategy is to help their clients substitute biblical truth for error as they go about their day-to-day lives. Altho being a Christian Counselor has its drawbacks, it is the job for me because of the benefits it offers. One of the reasons I would be honored to be a student ambassador is because I want to introduce and familiarize other prospective students with the school that I love so much, that has opened so many doors of opportunities, introduced me to so many amazing people, and has given me a top notch education. I want to encourage students who are perhaps unsure if WSU is right for them, or if college in general is right for them, that WSU and all that it has to offer makes it the place for anyone, from all backgrounds, all experiences, and all areas of interests. This is because WSU also offers majors, clubs and organizations, and communities in which anyone can find a sense of belonging and acceptance. Aside from the school itself, WSU is home to…

I believe the classes and opportunities I will be able to take part in at Taylor will help me figure out where God’s calling me to serve.
