Why Did Yale Stand Out

Decent Essays
Many of Yale's programs and offered experiences appeal to me, but what really made Yale stand out was its Combined Program in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences. I most likely will pursue some sort of medical career and receive my doctorate degree, and Yale's BBS Program and the accessibility it gives students to every department and lab in order to learn and conduct research is really appealing to me. If I can attend Yale as an undergraduate and experience what it is like to be a bulldog, then I could prepare myself to hopefully enter into Yale's BBS

I remember my sister crying the night before her flight, nervous of her transition to Cornell. However, during her first winter break back, my sister came back with a happy face. She spent the following weeks talking about her hallmates, lunch with her professors, and her highly intellectual peers. My brother soon followed suit. They both talked about the intimate relationships they were able to foster through opportunities to interact with the faculty, such as college-wide barbeques and eating dinner at professors’ homes.…

When I visited George Washington my sophomore year of high school, I instantly knew that your school is where I wanted to go for college. It just wasn't like any of the other colleges that I had seen before, and for that matter it was unlike any I have seen since. I saw that GW is in a beautiful location and that its presence in the capitol greatly enhances both its value and the city’s around it. I really liked walking around the campus, as it was extremely vibrant. I saw that safety is also important, and the combination of security that holds jurisdiction in this area is extremely reassuring.…
