Minh Trail. The United States wanted to keep Operation Popeye underwraps until 1971, but something slipped and a reporter, Jack Anderson, uncovered a secret memo to President Johnson.
This is when the public found out about Operation Popeye.
Operation Popeye was in northern Vietnam and southern Laos. This is when american pilots released silver and lead iodine into the clouds. By doing this they increased the monsoon season and made it harder for the Vietnamese to move along
