Why did Rome Fall? The Roman Empire was the most powerful Empire, although it did have its downside. Rome was founded in 700 BCE, but the Roman Empire began around 750 BCE as an unremarkable settlement. By 200 BCE the Greek Empire was weakening and Rome was turning into a giant. Rome goes through a fall this was caused some of these reasons include, the soldiers abandoning their armor, the economic corruption, and disease/disasters.
