Why Did Rainsford Survive In The Most Dangerous Game

Rainsford is able to survive because he has a lot of good idiosyncrasy which in turn helps him survive in the story “The Most Dangerous Game.” He was a very intelligent man. He showed a lot of courage in this story . “The revolver pointed as ridgeley as if he was a statue” (p.43 Conell). This shows a lot of courage because he had a gun pointed right at his chest and he just stood there like nothing was happening. Which if I was in his situation I would have been scared to death and probably took off running. He showed cunning by achieving what he wanted. “He had never slept in a better bed Rainsford decided.” (p.57)This shows cunning by him killing a man who had been hunting people including him. Wouldn't it be funny if he knew what it was
