Nelson Mandela was one of the three leaders in South Africa. He helped end Apartheid by convincing his audience that South Africa needs change, he was able to this by using rhetorical techniques like Ethos. Ethos is the distinguishing character, sentiment, moral nature, or guiding beliefs of a person. He used this in a letter called “An ideal in witch i am prepared to die” In this article he says.
