The Epic HER systems, are used in hospitals. In California, Kaiser Hospitals use the Epic Systems. There are several of the United States Top Hospitals, such as the Oakland, California Kaiser Permanete, the Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins Medical Center, UCLA Health in Los Angeles, and many other prestigious hospitals in the nation are using Epic systems. Computer scientist Judy Faulkner, who coded the software, and is the CEO of the Epic Corporation today, and she is the founder of Epic. Forbes, research found her net worth to be approximately three billion dollars. The Epic systems is competitive and the software is one the most expensive on the market (Gregg, 2014). The cost of the system is one of the leading issues with Epic customers.
