The United States tried diplomacy but they rejected the peace treaty. So without trying to make peace again and trying to make sure that there would be no more American deaths, on August 6, 1945 Hiroshima was bombed killing around 80,000 people then 3 days later on August 9, 1945 Nagasaki was bombed killing around 40,000 people.The bombing of Japan had many negative affects on the country.The bomb killed lot’s of innocent people that should not have died, it also made Japan fear us a lot and made them surrender ending the war. Now what do people need for these wars? They need weapons and not just any weapons, but, weapons that are powerful enough to wipe out their enemies and to make them fear them. For example we used the atomic bombs to wipe out part of Japan, which caused Japan to fear the United States and surrender, ending World War II. People believe that nuclear weapons are a good way to fight and end wars, although they have many other negative affects most of them are things like radiation and thousands of deaths.
