Why Did John Philip Sousa Start

John Philip Sousa was considered the first American superstar by many. He was willing to try new things so he decided to resign from Marine Corp when he was 35 years old. He decided to start his own band called the Sousa Band. He formed a combination of the band by decided from the band that were more popular at the time. For 39 years the him and his band toured the country and the world by trains.
John had been the leader of the United States Marine Band 12 years. John was starting to get board of the same thing and was ready for something new. So he resigned from the Marine Corp to start a new band something original. He wanted to start his own band but what kind of band did he want to start? So Sousa thought about all the bands
