Frieda Adam is a prime example of helping a friend hide and escape, Frieda had a Jewish friend named Erna Puterman, they became good friends before the war started, but once the war started, Frieda let Erna stay at her house and hide out from the German officers so she didn’t have to go to the ghetto’s, Frieda had to send Erna to her grandma’s house because it was becoming too dangerous because the neighbors started to get suspicious and Frieda’s husband was a German Soldier, once Frieda’s husband figured it out, he blackmailed Frieda, after all of this, Frieda still did not give up on helping her friend, Erna. Another story is about Joanna and Jadwiga, Joanna was Jewish, but Jadwiga was not, they both became friends before the war started, once it started Joanna had to go into hiding, so Jadwiga let her hide at her house so she wouldn’t be at a camp, but it became too dangerous for her to stay because of neighbors, so she moved her to a relative's house for the time being, but then it became too dangerous for her to even stay there, so Jadwiga had no choice but the forge Joanna’s name so she wouldn’t be in danger, during the rest of the war, Joanna became a French teacher.
