Why Did I Choose Fordham University

I am currently on the waitlist for the Class of 2021, and I wanted to communicate that if offered admission, I would be thrilled to attend!

I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting in recent weeks about what I want from a higher education, and why Fordham, with its exceptional business school, is the perfect place for me to spend my next four years. Looking at what Fordham has to offer me compared to other schools and what I can bring to Fordham assures me that I would be a great fit.

Fordham University as a whole excites me: the diverse community, location, class size, and the many student organizations and clubs are some key aspects that make me want to be a student at Fordham. After touring over ten different schools during my college search, I found that Fordham’s academics and campus filled my expectations for a university and I can truly see myself thriving at Fordham. My business interests go beyond my clothing company, in the summer before eleventh grade, I traveled to Barcelona through the Oxbridge Academic Program. While immersing myself in Spanish culture, I took two classes: a major course in international business, and a minor course in architecture. In my international business class, we worked with local business leaders to create our own business plans over the course of four weeks. This experience solidified my desire to study business. My college exploration has been a slow burn of growing understanding of opportunity connected to place. Perhaps I am a late bloomer for college admission purposes, but clarity leads to commitment. Fordham University is my first choice and if I am granted admission it would be life changing for me and allow me to achieve my fullest potential in a place that I could only dream to call home for the next four
