George Lucas Jr. “May the Force be with you” (Star Wars, 1977). This quote came from of the most influential movies of all time, Star Wars . Along with Indiana Jones, American Graffiti , and Redtails George Lucas created some of the world's most significant and memorable movies. George Lucas helped revolutionize the film industry while helping countless lives throughout his life. Lucas was born in Modesto,California on May 14,1944. He has had four children. He has three daughters, Amanda, Katie, and Everest Lucas along with a son, Jett Lucas. Lucas has had two wives. He was married to Marcia Lou Griffin, an American film editor, from 1969 to 1983. The selling of Lucasfilm was unexpected and surprising. Many wondered what Lucas was going to do with the money, and they all soon found out Lucas gave all $4.05 million dollars to charity. After selling Lucasfilm to Disney, Disney started doing some very large projects. Disney has capitalized on the merchandising opportunities as well as added rides and attractions to their amusement parks. They have also capitalized on Star Wars by making an animated T.V. series Star Wars Rebels . Now that Disney has the rights to Star Wars, Disney is planning to make three more Star Wars films
Lucas is now still very busy.Despite having a net worth of $5 million dollars he still is very active. He is working on creating and being the curator of an art museum. This museum will be on one of Lucas’ many properties, Skywalker ranch. He is also a consultant on the new Star Wars films. He also is helping write the new movies as
