They have a powerful dream of having a place of their own so that they have no trouble with anyone and no one has trouble with them, in order for this dream to come true they have to work on ranches so they have enough money to get the place. George and Lennie work hard but since Lennie has a mind of a child and forgetful, he keeps getting into trouble and George has to get him out of trouble by moving to the next ranch, but Lennie keeps on getting in trouble and his pelting begins innocently and then increases and becomes a criminal offence and George has to fix but one day George no …show more content…
He will be hunted like a bear and killed. George didn’t want this to happen to Lennie so he shoots Lennie because it is a quick way and Lennie died happily as George was talking about dream while he killed Lennie. Also another reason why George shoots Lennie is because he keeps making mistakes which makes George very angry and that’s why he killed Lennie for example he killed Slims puppy, which could get George to a lot of trouble. Also another reason why George shot Lennie¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ is because Lennie’s death was inevitable because Curley is mad and wants to kill Lennie and Lennie is not smart enough to run away and survive so George takes this into notice and takes charge by killing Lennie …show more content…
George has been taking care of Lennie all his life and he doesn’t want to make the same mistake as candy made by giving Carlson the right to kill his dog. After his dog was dead he was very depressed and he said, “I ought to of shot that dog myself, George I shouldn 't ought to of let no stranger shoot my dog.” This suggests that George didn’t want anyone else to shoot Lennie because Lennie is his responsibility and if any were going to kill Lennie and end his suffering it would be George. Another reason why George kills Lennie is because he didn’t want the person that he hated the most Curley to kill his best friend. We now that George hate’s Curley because at the beginning of the poem George says, “I hate that guy”. This suggests that George did not want Curley to kill his best and Curley is raged with anger as Lennie killed his wife so he is not going to let Lennie go and Lennie would be able to get him out of this so he puts him out of

George did the right thing at the end of the book because Lennie was a threat to everyone around him and if George did not kill him sooner, he would have killed more people later on. With Lennie’s strength and size, he overpowered anybody that he faced and because of the mental state that he was in, he could not control his power remarkably well and that led to many tragic outcomes. For example, “And then she was still, for Lennie had broken her neck,” (91). Since Lennie cannot control his power, it causes him to do things that he never intended of doing. What was only supposed to be the stroking of Curley’s wife’s hair, lead to her death only a few moments later.…

I dont think it proves Lennie wrong because George didn't kill lennie just because of what he had done to the dog and to Curleys wife ,Im pretty sure everyone was glad that she wasn't gonna be around anymore .George shot Lennie because he didn't wanna see him suffer because of what he had done ,they could have sent him to an insane asylum or they would have sent him to prison. So George that it was would easier to kill him instead of having him suffer somewhere else .So its kinda like George was doing Lennie a favor but then again if you think about it ,it was pretty hard for George to shoot him because they have never left each other like they would travel everywhere together and they were almost inseparable .But right after George shot him…

This claim is complete bogus, and here why. As previously stated, George killing lennie would mean much more to both of them, then a person who doesn 't have a bond with neither of them. Also, Curley killing Lennie would result in a greater amount of physical pain to Lennie, because Curley was going to shoot him in the gut, and the pain would be long lasting. While George was going to kill him quickly, which would result in less pain. Therefore, George undoubtedly made the right right decision.…

I disagree with George killing Lennie, because Lennie didn’t mean to kill Curley's wife. Lennie only wanted to feel her hair, unfortunately, she overreacted and freaked out, which scared Lennie which caused him to accidentally kill her. All Lennie wanted to do was run away together with George. Chapter one “Of Mice And Men,” it explains that when George and Lennie lived in Weed, Lennie wanted to feel a girls dress because it looked soft.…

From the quotes, Curley was furious that his wife died and he knows that it was Lennie did this so he really wants to kill him by himself and shot him in the guts but George told him not to shoot him because he does not know what was he doing because Lennie was dumb. George should have killed Lennie in the story “Of Mice and Men” because from the story the character “Lennie” was a troublemaker for George. He always brought troubles to George and he also has some problems with his mind so that made him act like a kid, always do thing after George and if Lennie is still alive he might hurt more people, even though they were best friend and George should not have killed Lennie because of that but someone else will kill him…
