America lost the war, but Canada didn’t win. The Canadians didn’t actually have a goal other than to keep the Americans off their land, which they succeeded. The American’s goal was to conquer Canada, which they failed. Canada would have won, if they had kept the Americans out of Canada without losing any citizens. America would have won had they kept even a square meter of land. They lost the war because even with sacrificing roughly 15,000 men, they didn’t complete their goal. Canada did, even though they lost about 8,300 British and Canadian.
