Abraham Lincoln was a focused man in the use of power. Winston Churchill wrote that "The only way a man can remain consistent amid changing circumstances is to change with them while preserving the same dominating purpose." His source of power came from being president of the United States of America. Lincoln was born in Kentucky and later as a adult, moved to Illinois and became a lawyer. He was active in politics and elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. He would make speech's about how slavery is wrong and he was apart of the Antislavery Society.
