Critical thinking is the ability of clearly and accurately analyzing available information to understand the particular situation, and based on the results of that process making a right decision.
With mentioned introduction we can conclude having a good memory and with the help of this capability, accumulating a big mass of information and then just regurgitate it, is not critical thinking.
In every business, every human activity we are encountering with challenges, problems and emergency situations in a daily basis, to tackle these challenges we need to think critically, we need to detect those problems, we need to analyze them based on our definite, rational, precise analysis and with …show more content…
“The people who have high level of critical thinking are also having good analysis and problem-solving skills, good judgment and decision making, good overall job performance, the ability to evaluate the quality of information presented, creativity, job knowledge, and the potential to move up within the organization” (Harris,2015,Para. 10).
Above mentioned is just part of advantages of employees with critical thinking and problem solving skills, therefore we shouldn’t be surprised why employers are desperately looking for such employees among graduate students and when they cannot find many students with such skills among graduates, they have every right to criticize universities. With the lack of such individuals in the workforce and increasingly need for such skills in every field of employment especially managerial positions, their criticizing are absolutely justified.
